Hi! I just set up a new MAC and am noticing that I am only given mono option when using a mono track. In the past I’d have both mono and M>S. Any help would be great…TY!
Hello have you checked… your input and output settings on the plugin, the doubler won’t work if you have only a mono output…
You need to have stereo outs selected like 1&2 or 3&4 etc
Hi Dave! TY for responding! I think one issue was that I hadn’t installed the standalone. I have now, and am able to go to the settings. The input options are 1L 2R 3L 4R. Outputs are 1&2 only, not option for stereo or 1&2 3&4. I hadn’t had these issues with my old Mac….think I need to uninstall/reinstall all the Neurals? My other plugs are fine….
Once again, ty!!.
No probs… your interface might not have a 3/4 out… so 1/2 would be the option in standalone mode… if in a a daw and just running your guitar straight into interface you would be mono going in so just whatever input your plugged into… so if plugged into 3 just arm track 3 for guitar
Confused. Are you trying to run your plug-in in a DAW (probably Logic) or are you trying to get mono>stereo working in standalone? Standalone mode and VST/AU are two different installations.
Hi! I’m using the plugs in logic. In my old Mac (I just switched to a new m4 mini) had a mono track for input. I would always have an option for mono or mono/stereo …now it’s just mono. Ty!
Amplitude and Guitar Rig work fine. Mono track/ mono, stereo output on the plugs.
Double-checked an existing Logic session that I have. Here’s what I saw. Notice that I keep the inputs into Logic as mono (In 1 for example) and I’m using AU versions of plug-ins:
For a track that already had a NDSP plug-in loaded, which I had set to mono, there was no option to change it from its mono designation.
…But when I added a new instance of a NDSP plug-in, I got the option of mono or mono>stereo.
Weird. Each new time I added a new plug-in, I had the option of mono or mono>stereo. And if I tried to change a new instance of the plug-in that I had just added, I got the same option. But going back to change any older instance of a plug-in that had previously been saved in the session, was fixed as mono only.
Let me know if you have the same results.
Wow, ty for all of the research! I had to step out, might not be back until late. I will ck asap. It seems to be a neural issue as I am not having the issue w other plugs. Be back ASAP. Thanks again!!
Just took a quick look. Yes, it appears as though I’ll have to open another plugin (in this case guitar rig), open the Neural plug in the next space, then disable Guitar Rig.
I’ll contact Neutral to see if they are aware of this issue. I’ll post their reply, if there is one.
Once again, many thanks for your help!
I wonder if it could be a Logic issue and not a NDSP issue. I’ll compare with other plug-ins in Logic, and also compare with Ableton Live when I’m at my Mac computer again.
My other guitar plugs are working normally……so, I would think its Neurals issue?
Here’s the response from Neural:
MacOS-HDD/Library/Caches
MacOS-HDD/Users/Your User Name/Library/Caches
Inside both or one of those folders, you will find the subfolder AudioUnitCache, and inside of it, com.apple.audiounits.cache. Delete them from both folders if you find them:
- Remove the file com.apple.audiounits.cache
- Remove the subfolder AudioUnitCache
- Restart your system
- Reinstall the plugin
- Open Logic and re-scan your plugins
I’ll try it later today.
It worked perfectly!!
