Next update for Quad Cortex?

My next QC update names Helix Stadium… QC user interface is a joke, you can’t assign footswitches to almost anything, midi implementation is ridiculous, you can’t even change the leds colour!!!, etc…

I hope you are right even it feels not good to know they can add new features very easily and don’t do it (also adress the request about decent midi etc…)

That would mean that if they decide to work seriously on the QC, they can accelerate and deliver us a lot of improvements and new stuff very fast.

If you are wrong, it means that the QC is a hell to program and will probably never match the original promises. If there really are 2 different team that work on plugins and the QC (which i don’t think/hope) or the QC team is not incredible (to say the very least) or the QC is problematic.

Of course the QC as a lot of good stuff and sounds very good but from the original promises and the (supposed ?) potential of it, it’s a waste (imho) at this point (that can still change).

Even though the teams are different, at the current pace it’s quite clear that one is extremely competent and the other the complete opposite. However, I see the indication that the next QC update will be Helix Stadium, not because of the quality, but because of the efficiency and communication of the competition. Not that the communication is good, but however bad it may be, it will always be more efficient in terms of communication than what QC delivers today.

This extreme slowness/lack of communication is discouraging many customers. Even though the censorship is clear and obvious, I don’t see many recommending it currently precisely for these reasons. If it only delivered what was promised, there would be no reason for anyone to judge the next QC update as Helix Stadium.

I discovered missed promises or something like that in this forum where I came to suggest improvements based on my experience with competitor’s devices that I have/had (Fractal, Kemper, Helix)

I just got the QC for what it is like I do for everything I buy. I didn’t preferred my car over others and got it because it may have future improvements, same for my Mac, same for “my wife”.

Exactly what do you miss? As a new user I’m seriously curious.

BTW I think this continuous complaining makes this forum the worst communication and marketing tool for Neural. It’s an enormous sign of love for the user community to have it up and running.

I think there lies the problem. Some people buy stuff for future things that might come to a device. Which is ALWAYS! not the right way. Same for anything else. If a piece of gear or something can’t do what you want in the current state, don’t buy it - simple as that.

But i can see some of the frustrations. It’s the same with some videogames, where things were initially promissed, but came months after release with a patch or dlc.

I think there are some QoL features missing, neural could have implemented earlier (like fully programmable footswitches etc). For me personally i was happy when i brought the QC 3 years ago and i’m more happy now with all the additions.

Yes, I also think that six months ago there was a much more frequent and better frequency of improvements. Since the summer, we’ve seen things slow down, and the promises don’t seem to be materializing.

Many of us have invested money in plugins that don’t support the Quad Cortex for live use. I think this is negligence that Nerual DSP should address.

I think we users have been very patient, and we should start seeing more frequent updates and plugins for our systems, or people will start to lose faith.
