Is there a way to lower the volume of certain Neural captures of OD/ Distortion pedals.
Some of their captures are ridiculously loud and even with the volume turned all the way down the pedal is still loud.
I do run the overall final Volume knob on the QC at max as I want to keep unity level.
Mostly OD pedals. Where there might be 8-10 variations of captures on the pedal. Like Mad Professors Simple Dr. I think QC calls it Simple OD.
Some of the Captures the volume is usable as you can adjust the volume control in the effects control set. But others are simply so loud even with the volume turned off it is still ridiculously loud
Is there any other volume control that can be assigned to a patch?
And you said you’re lowering it down below in settings when you tap the od block? Btw I’m talking about as if u r looking at the UI. Turn down the mix and whatever other knobs are there?
Yes I’m turning down the gain and volume knobs in the UI for the given Neural capture of the overdrive
It is still outrageously loud. I would think you could dial it down to have no volume but I can’t unless I turn down the physical lager master volume knob on the unit. I don’t want to do that for obvious reasons
This is why I won’t download captures unless they’re from neural DSP. I tried some and end up blowing out the input circuit on my 2i2 because they were so ridiculously hot and there was no indication.
Lesson learned on my part - should have put volume at zero before trying someone else’s capture or preset.
Frankly I don’t trust or care for some random dudes presets or captures. This just soured the experience.
So learned my lesson on levels the hard way. Got a new 4th gen 2i2 and now have my QC outputting direct to monitors instead of QC > 2i2 interface > monitors (with direct throughput).
