Large input gain increase after my first capture

Hello all,

First time poster, and I’ve done a few searches on this but not sure if anyone is in the same 1:1 situation.

I’ve owned my QC for just over a year now and it’s been great all around. Tonight I tried my first neural capture capturing a precision drive, and after the capture finished I have a (seemingly) permanent increased amount of gain/dirt that wasn’t there before. This is to say I’m 100% obviously removing the captured drive out of the equation and only focused on the presets I used originally.

I had just recorded some tracks before the capture and re-recorded the same original preset, same guitar, same riff and any comparison to my original recording shows that there’s a new amount of gain/dirt that I can best describe as the sound a tube head makes without a cab. This new gain amount I would say is about 5-10% in addition to whatever gain I had started with. I’ve restarted the QC a few times and unplugged/moved around cables. I haven’t yet tried a factory reset.

Did I damage the QC? I 100% followed the cable routing as instructed on the device.

Thanks for listening.
