Nano newbie question about editing presets

Hi everyone,
I suppose this is quite trivial but I want to be sure: I understand that the only way to edit presets is load them (or create them) in one of the four slots of the Nano. Is it right?
Thanks in advance for your attention.

The Nano can hold up to 128 presets. If you select any of the 128 presets the preset is loaded into memory and can be edited using the phone app or turning the knobs on the actual pedal.

The footswitches can be programmed to select 4 of the 128 presets. So it’s not preset memory slots rather something similar to preset bookmarks.

If you have the need to select more presets than just 4 without using the phone application you need to use midi pedal or similar to send program change messages to the pedal for

When creating presets, do the captures have to be loaded into one of the 25 available slots?

I have only figured out how to create a preset using one of the 5 captures in the 5 banks.

Once created, however, the banks can be set with new captures and the preset can load a capture from the library instead.

The five capture banks are for the performance mode of the Nano Cortex.

So you can replace all the captures in the banks and your presets will still load up with the correct capture.

Wanted to add for folks curious, the same is true for IR behavior. They just have to be loaded onto the device to work with presets, you don’t need them in one of the 5 active slots.

Would be nice if we could make presets without first loading things into the capture or IR banks from performance mode, but a minor inconvenience all said and done once you have things set up.
