I learnt enough to feel dangerous Im wondering on the nano what the best practice to create your and save or edit and save to a different place. Im getting confused both with the app and on the Nano itself
I downloaded a bunch of Bass captures it said it was saving to Banks 2 thru 5
I have 4 presets I made before that are assigned to the switches and dont want to overwrite them. The app seems a bit strange i can save or delete or rename but it looks like its going to do it on the preset your on currently I like to use the preset i already have and just try changing the captures it uses but then Im scared im gonna overwrite that preset how do you copy a preset to work on or write it to a different place with a different name.
One thing i find easy to follow is on the nano itself i use the bank tiny switch to change to another bank then use the first switches knob to try every capture in that bank and then next bank and try all those . Im worried to hit the save switch on the Nano cause isn t that just going to overright the preset thats allocated to the switch on the nano or as im chaqnging to another bank capture with the tiny bank switch and the knob will it save it to that bank and slot. for example if the switch is set to say use bank 1-1 if i use the bank switch and knob dial to find a capture i like on saybank 3-4 and i push the save will that save it to 1-1 or the 3-4 . Sorry Im new and i just dont want to loose the 4 preset. It would be nice to be able to copy a preset rather tahjn move it to another place thanks for l;istening you can tell im getting confused
actually that bought up more quirks of the software. like you can only edit a sound or save as if its allocated currently to a footswitch NOT from the show all presets area, you only get rename which does not function as save as which allows you to rename it AND also chose where to save it. not really impressed the software needs a few updates for sure
It has other quirks as well.
Unfortunately, new FX, new plugins, new products etc.. software is a bit overlooked in Nano.
UI is not great. Presets are confusing. FX are hard to edit.
Try Parametric EQ. It has rotational knobs and I need to scroll down to reach other params on my iPhone mini. However, scrolling is really hard over the knobs since they expect rotational gestures.
Check out the Delay. If you want a slapback delay, around 100 to 150ms,
You have to do the math first. So 1000ms for a second. Then 60BPM is 1000ms.
So 100ms is what 600BPM? Where can I enter that? Where is the ms adjustments?
There are NONE! So what can I do? I tried clicking on the metronome then got a Tap Tempo UI.
So, why don’t we have a dedicated knob so we can adjust the delay in ms? Every delay in history has this. Why?
Yes you are correct it feels like they added bits on as they went. Th UI needs an update. Things are not always obvious. I’d like some other things I mentioned above to help organize the presets the fact you can only edit a preset that’s assigned to a footswitch is crazy . It’s like you look for things in what would seem obvious but you often have to go to a different page .
