On each voice at Multivoicer (Tim Henson) fx - we have sound like it coming with Gate/Ducking effect, or compression?
So if you select only one voice, at any pitch, and look at level activity, in very short time (ms) you find signal is normal but in few ms, it going down.
As example may be from -12 dB to -20.
So one active voice - sounds like it compressed, tone-out of Hi-freqs, and Ducked.
Does it right?
May be anybody can help to understand what going on with just simple pitch at one voice? Because signal not only pitched, but also have some degradation sound (may be stereo field and HF/LF), with Gate/Duck effect.
Who work with synths understand this effect of level drops as it work in euroracks - LowPass Gate (LPG) = short attack, some release with soft decay.
but what is really going on with signal at Multivoicer voice, if we set all parameters to neutral values (pan = 0, delay = 0, detune =0).
Enable/Disable signal with “Engage” button.
And second:
I compare Voices with delays 100/200/300/400 with other simple pitch shifters, and they not sound in the same way. Final progression of voices usually sound like increasing of delayed tuned voices. In Multivoicer - with the same Voice pith values - it sound like reducing progression of delayed tuned voices.
