MIDI CC not working correctly

I made a TouchOSC template for the quad cortex, where I use 8 buttons for scenes with CC#43 value 0 to 7 and 8 buttons for stomps with CC#35 to #42.

Now if the Quad Cortex is in Stomp mode it works fine, but if it is in Scene mode even the buttons with CC#35 to #42 just change Scenes. Not to speak of Preset mode where it changes Presets which is absolutely null.

Any help out there?

I haven’t done it myself, but based I what I’ve read over the last few years most users send multiple commands- first to change to the Mode necessary, then send the specific changes, then send to change back to the Mode you want to end up in. Each Midi command you configure allows you to send multiples like this.

@xush : yo, thank you for your info. Indeed it works that way… so I have to add 2 CC’s to each button and the leds on QC light all up every time I switch a stomp, but at least it works. You have to take into account that CC#47 has values 0 to 2 but these are not fix, when you use only Scene and Stomp then 0 = Scene and 1 = Stomp. Maybe it would be nice if Neural get this right so that CC’s work as they should without changing modes.

yes, Midi functionality and switch assignment options are probably the 2 biggest weaknesses of the Cortex family presently. We hope they keep gradually improving it! There are feature requests for it if you’d like to add your vote (though I think they’re well aware we need it)
