I have the following questions and would like to know whether this is possible or what possible workarounds exist. The reason why I ask is, I have not enough footswiches for what I want to do.
Questions:
Is it possible to open the looper in scene mode?
Is it possible to map two loopers to the same switch on the Quad Cortex?
For instance, click once = open looper one, click twice = open looper two
If this exists for other devices, like freeze I’d he very curious to know.
Haha I would also like to know the answer to question 1.
I want to open the looper and start a loop with a clean sounding scene. Then be able to use the foot switches to exit the looper screen but keep the loop running, to allow me to change the scene to a lead tone then go back into the looper.
I couldn’t work out how to do this without using the touchscreen. Which is a pain as it is meant to be a floor unit for live use with feet controls.
Closing the looper window and having the loop continuously playing I believe I found out.
Press the switches that usually change one preset up or down will allow you to do so
I just received the following email from the neural support, which is great. They replied in less then a day!
Hello, thank you for reaching out.
If you are using an external MIDI controller you can send MIDI CC #48 values 0-63 to open the looper parameter editor menu, and same CC #48 but values 64-127 will close said window. This will work regarless of the mode you are currently using, so it will work on scenes mode.
Additionally, please keep in mind that you can recall specific scenes with MIDI messages as well, by sending MIDI CC 43 values 0-7 , on which specific values will recall specific scenes, so if your MIDI controller has enough footswitches, you can recall specific scenes as well as opening as opening the Looper Window to control the looper via Quad Cortex Footswitches.
Also take into consideration that you can insert one Looper X block per preset.
Kind regards.

But oh well that’s unfortunate… I was hoping for an all in one box solution with the Quad Cortex without having to buy additional gear…
So is there no way of doing it without additional gear?
If so I would humbly suggest this for a future update. You know basically more mapping options for the internal foot switches.
You can use the midi-jumper loopback back hack for this but it can get a little confusing.
I use it to assign midi functions to the XP, essentially extending 2 more commands outside of the onboard switches. It ties up the midi jacks, but only requires one midi cable and an XP (Although you can’t use those for other things simultaneously)
