Greetings. I’m looking for a great sounding Leslie Speaker effect. Unfortunately the QC version sounds really dull. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I think the rotary effect in the QC is pretty cool. For my purposes I’ve had better luck with it in front of whatever amp model or capture I’m using. But sometime the stereo effect is better after the amp model/capture or even after the speaker cab or IR. Where you put the effect in the chain effects things greatly to my ears.
I feel like everyone has their own idea of what a Leslie speaker should sound like.
Does the QC rotary sound like a Leslie? Yes. Does it sound like every other Leslie pedal or effect? No. It has it’s own thing.
Besides my actual real Leslie speaker cab, the other Leslie pedal that I personally enjoy is the Strymon Lex.
You might need to do some YouTube listening to different Leslie pedals and figure out which one sounds like what you’re wishing to hear.
