Lava pedal board cables - beware

So, I use to love Lava Patch cables. I still love the thin yet high quality conductor. But, I just had a tip break off inside the combo jack on my quad cortex trying to remove the cable. Here is the aftermath.

I’ve never had a problem with any other cable.

Anyone else experience this?

Yes this has happened to me on a combo jack for an audio interface before. I guess the way they grip the tip.
