Quad Cortex adds gain even with no effects active

Hi, I’m trying to design some presets on my QC (4cm with some pedals between the guitar and QC) and noticed my amp sounds louder even when all blocks are bypassed, compared to pluging straight in to the amp.

I tested it alone and it is definitely the QC adding that gain, also all ins and outs are set to 0db.

I’m using an active guitar (mm jp15) could it be caused by an impedance missmatch? If not what could be the reason? Thanks!

i had to set the guitar input level to -6 db to be totally clean in my profiles, so i agree with you.

This might depend on using TS cables in a balanced output.
