Hi all
I tryed to capture the JHS Colour Box for you guys, but i keep receiving an error message. Is that true that the Quad Cortex can not capture Preamp Pedals? I tryed every combination but the Capture keeps failing on the “sanity check”. Switched out the cables and all. Works if I plug in a Fuzz.
Let me know if its a Layer 8 problem or if that is really not possible for some reason.

I don’t see any reason that pedal shouldn’t work. (there are a few on the Cloud already)
What is it telling you when it fails? Signal too high, or not detected?
Thanks for the reply. Yes it says no signal/ low signal detected. But i cranked the hell out of the preamp as well, you know, for science😂
Are the EQ controls set super low? That might be reducing the signal. Has to be an error with the settings on the pedal itself, since I’ve actually found the QC signal during captures is pretty hot
What level are you getting on In 2?
I’ve made many captures of my colourbox V2, with a variety of gain levels, so it’s certainly possible.
Interessting. I tryed it with master from 12 till full, preamp is usualy cranked, 3ish and eq flat. Tryed all STEP modes. Levels from close to clipping to over the read line to maxed. Cables are not the issue, tryed it with the Rams Head afterwards, same setup. Colour box is not set to XLR, pad not engaged.
Found the error… It turns out when you cannot read a diagram, block the back panel so you cannot see the caption on the device, and you are stupid like I am, the process is hard. Connected the front of the pedal to the headphone out instead of the capture out
