I downloaded a trial version of the Archetype Nolly X last night and mucked around with some clean tones and thought it sounded good. Today I tried some distorted tones, excited after hearing awesome demos but unfortunately I have tried all day and it just sounds bad. it sounds like I’m playing on the neck pick up. I have tried the suggestion from other posts to no avail. Im using passive hum buckers into a Apollo Twin Hz input with gain at zero as suggested but it sounds very gained out, like I have to higher input but I don’t. I am coming from an Axe Fx 3 and was hoping to avoid the endless tweaking from that. I really want this to work as the plugins sound amazing. Thank you.
