Input Impedance change required after power up

This bug has been mentioned before, but even though my QC is running the latest software the issue remains.

Virtually every time I turn my QC on I have to move the input impedance selector value from its usual place of 1M and back again before the audio outs produce the correct sound. Outputs sound muffled until I follow this tweak.

Please resolve.

have you contacted Support directly? Could be a hardware issue that needs repairing

Hi, thanks for your comment.

I was under the impression that this issue was common to others, so haven’t as yet considered it a hardware issue.

Take a look at this thread, then I recommend a backup, factory reset and restore to see if still an issue. Worst case, email support@neuraldsp.com so they can log your issue and get it resolved. Impedance has to be changed after every Power Cycle #2 - #9 by MP_Mod

Thank you for this suggestion. I have never done a factory reset and restore. Got to say I am a little nervous after having invested so much in developing my QC to this point. Does a restore return the unit 100% to its former position as per the last backup. I use my QC live constantly and have tons of song presets and different routing options etc.

Yes, once you make a backup, it’s a full backup of the QC which includes all presets, captures, settings, I/O etc., everything. You can always email support first and wait for them to recommend factory reset / restore etc.

Yep, I will communicate with support before I try anything. Thank you for your help and re-assurance regarding the restore process. Kind regards. Bernie.

Been having the same issue here.

Input level goes from where I set it (-12db) to -25 or -30 when I reboot it until I fiddle with the input level knob or impedance knob and it goes to where I had it.

Started happening within the last 2-3 months.

Definitely recommend emailing support@neuraldsp.com as I have not seen input levels changing being an issue so far, this was referring specifically to the impedance level changing.

I don’t think I have seen any posts regarding input level changing etc.

It actually does sound like the same issue - OP is mentioning that the ‘sound is muffled’ which is what happens when the input level goes to minus 25-30ish.

When I change the impedance level watch the input level -

I also did e-mail support, there’s at least 1 or 2 other people on the discord that had the same issue.
