I just got a mini and the input gates are disabled even on all of the User presets. The only things I can find are that CPU usage with shut it down, but nothing on why it might be disabled all of the time. It is active on the Factory presets, but not on the User presets. Does anyone have any ideas what setting I need to change to fix this?
The total CPU usage isn’t a clear indicator for this. CPU usage on the QC is split between rows 1+2 and rows 3+4. So you can have 50% CPU max in each half.
The input gate and global EQ share the CPU usage with the top two rows. So if you have too many blocks in rows 1/2 they might get disabled.
You could try removing some blocks from the top or use the bottom rows and move some blocks down to see if that helps.
I understand the cpu lines, it is an issue on blank presets as well. Nothing on them. The gate is active on the factory presets. It is disabled on every single blank user preset spot and there does not seem to be a way to turn it back on.
Did you hold down your finger on the block at the beginning of the line where you pick the input? There isn’t any setting in the QC that would automatically disable the gate from being an option, or whether it’s on/off for every preset
Yes. It’s just greyed out. On every single “User preset”. I can’t turn it on. It doesn’t matter if there is nothing, or everything. It doesn’t let me use it.

you should be able to manually turn the gate on in user presets.
