Me too, i feel that the QC tuner needs to be more reactive/precise. I use a boss tu-3 in front on QC, would be happy to left the boss tuner home…
Archetype: Peterson Strobe Tuner X
Ahahahahaha perfect
I’ve been teaching guitar for over 35 years. Even long time players don’t know how to tune properly.
My guess is that you’re hitting the string too hard and too often.
Put the pick on the string, and lightly flick it off, just enough to get the string moving. Gauge the first response you get from the tuner. Don’t actually HIT the string, and make sure you’re waiting at least a second before you try again.
Gigging for 45 years and the QC has the best tuner I’ve used in a live situation.
Apparently I’m not the only one who finds the Quad cortex tuner unusable live…
I have used dozens of guitar tuners in over 25 years of guitar activity… I know very well how to tune the guitar and how to use a tuner… that of the Quad cortex is slow and full of lags…
I think you might not do yourself a favour with your wording. I already voted and agree with you, that it could be better. But I wouldn’t call it “unusable”. There are many, way worse tuners out there.
I just did a search using the word “tuner". There are a few posts requesting tuner related features but I didn’t see any post headings about poor tracking. If poor tracking makes it “unusable” and it always has been, it’s odd that this hasn’t been a hot topic before. Could someone post a video demonstrating this problem? One with the tuner mute turned off, so we can hear the string, please.
Oh yes , please
Here on the forum won’t let me upload videos?? Only pictures!
You can put it in Google drive and post a link for people to download.
…Or you can upload to YouTube as an “unlisted” video, then post the link here. (Unlisted means not private, and not public; only people with the link can view it.)
