Hi
I’ve been using my quad cortex for few months and love the stock cabs, they’re incredible but I found my self leaning more and more on GGD impulse and it would make the QC the ultimate tone machine if you can port GGD Cali, Zilla and gold stack.
Since you’re linking iLok for the plugin compatibility it could be actually a good idea to like GGD to the QC if you own the licenses.
You should already be able to export your custom IRs as .WAV files from the GGD packs. From there you can insert them into your IR library in Cortex Cloud.
Yeah I know I do it already but I’d love to be able to tweak some parameters directly on the QC instead of doing back and forth
You can tweak using the IR loader as well. I use YA IRs the same way.
I just bought the GGD Sutdio Cabs Cali 1.5
I selected “massive” with an sm57 as the mic and left the rest of the parameters as they were. I then exported it onto the desktop. Is that how it’s done? I’m not sure I did it right.
Out of curiosity I opened it on the media player on my desktop and heard a click and that was it. Is it normal for it to be a 0 second 10kb .wav file? Does this contain the info/data needed to work as a proper IR when I upload it to the Cortex Cloud/Quad Cortex?
Thanks
Yes that is what an IR contains and what it would sound like if you played the audio file.
Simple enough. Thank you!
