Hybrid Mode Pre-Set - Scene

I am trying Hybrid Mode for the first time, 4 Pre-sets - top row, 4 Scenes - bottom row. In gig view when I use the bank up/down to change to the next/previous set of 4 pre-sets the display comes out of Gig View until I press one of the 4 top row footswitches 2 times to select a pre-set. Is this normal behaviour?

Yes, the way presets are handled with the footswitches and gig mode is very counter-intuitive.

There is a feature request that suggested a way to solve this issue.

Yes; if/when I move away from the Neural universe, I don’t think it will be because I find something that sounds better, but will be because of the continued lack of addressing some of the major UI issues of the Quad Cortex, that sadly detract from the experience of using what could be the best modeller in the market; there are aspects of the Helix that are better to work with and more intuitive, and that is now a 10 year old design.

Please vote for this Feature Request - as far as I’m aware it’s the only hope of getting these sort of issues addressed
