How to turn off Wah pedal in factory presets / user presets

Not sure if anyone is facing this problem. Everytime i reboot my device, the wah block is always turned on by default. It’s kinda annoying that i would have to disengage everytime i change a preset. Saving the preset as wah turned off isn’t working. It will auto turn on again when i reboot. the QC.

i’m hooked up with a Hotone SP-35 Ampero Press II and it is assigned to the switch of the pedal to activate/deactivate the wah.

Is there a way to have all the wah blocks (even in factory presets) off by default?

The QC reads the XP position to determine the wah (or other fx) state upon preset load. All factory presets seem to have the bypass set to ‘heel/toe’ so if your pedal is anywhere above the heel position, the wah will be active. If you put your XP all the way to the heel position and open the preset, the wah should be off. Test this with preset 1a. There’s no way to change this default on the factory presets, but you could edit them and ‘save as’ in a new slot.

As for user presets, are you sure you’re not assigning the bypass to the heel/toe or Stop functions? If you have XP 2 assigned as ‘switch’ to the bypass, it could be overridden if XP1 is accidentally assigned to bypass as well.

Also, which Hotone is it, the Press II or Soul II? I’ve read of users having difficulties with the Soul II. I’ve used the Press II, and I think you have to engage the ‘latch’ setting (in the QC XP assignment settings) when using its toe switch if I recall correctly.

(my factory presets always load with the wah ON and in the maximum throw position, a truly terrible tone- because I almost always have my XP at ‘toe’ position)

I’m using the Hotone SP-35 Ampero Press II. Thanks for the info. i will give it a try when i get home tonight.

I also have the pedal on toe down all the time as I do use it as a volume pedal on some presets.
