Since a few days my Quad cortex makes super loud noises when booted after it has been powered down. Also the tuner goes bananas as if there was a LOT of noise coming into one of the inputs.
After a while, the problem seems to disappear and the unit works as it should.
I have changed all cables, tried a different power supply, factory reset the device - all to no avail…

There are some other threads that kinda go in the same direction. Alle came up at the same time.
I had the same problem: booted up QC, no sound at all, but the tuner went crazy and all outputs showed output (but there was just noise), when i rebooted the QC, everything was fine… until now no real “fix” other than rebooting. I think it has to to with the cables you plug in (every time i change it while the qc is off, it happens again when powered on)
I just started getting the same problem. No matter how many times I reboot it I get the same loud noises. I’ve factory reset it, tried the original power supply, changed the cables…everything. Nothing has fixed the issue.
Do you mind me asking how old your device is? Thank you
