I’m used to playing my QC through a BOSE S1 Pro (plugged into headphone jack on QC and 3.5mm input on PA) and really like the way it sounds, but recently moved into an apartment with very thin walls. In an effort to keep from disturbing my new neighbors, I tried my pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO (80 ohm) headphones last night and really did not like the way they sounded. It felt like they were squashing the audio, and it ended up sounding muffled, tinny, and pretty dead. I’m looking to get a different pair of headphones for use with the QC, can someone please recommend me a pair? I’ve done quite a bit of research and saw many, many recommendations, so I’m sort of sitting with analysis paralysis right now. I’d like to just plug into the headphone jack on the QC and not need to fiddle with EQ or settings as much as possible. So far, I’ve seen recommendations for AKG Pro Audio K371 and Beyerdynamic MMX 300 while researching, and I’d really appreciate some additional input before I go and spend any money. It would be great if they were less than $300, though I could be persuaded to spend more since headphones will likely become my main mode of practicing/playing at home.
Hi I use AKG Q701 Quincy Jones. The problem I have with these is that they sound too good. When I record I have to add som sharpness to the sound to fit in the mix. But this is a minor problem.
It’s nice to have headphones that sits soft and sound nice. Other problems could be adjusted.
