Global looper access

Because I hate the way you change Modes on the QC (having to press the tuner and preset down at the same time to do this mid-song is my pet rant; how many times have I accidentally changed presets instead of changing modes? It’s the worst thing about the QC IMHO) I really don’t like the way you have to access Stomp Mode in order to access the looper.

I would really like to see a global ‘Open Looper UI’ function, like pretty much every other modeller I’ve ever used (yep, even the cheap ones) have.

As an idea this could be assigned to a SHORT press of the ‘Preset Up’ footswitch and Preset changing could be made to be a LONG press (which also neatly avoids the issue of accidentally changing presets)

Same here. It’s also very cumbersum and tedious to switch patches while looping. Looping is supposed to be a global tool that’s external to the preset world, not like an effect added to a specifc preset.

My workaround has been to use WIDI; my backing tracks come from my iPad, which also transmits Bluetooth MIDI to the WIDI dongle on the back of my QC. The backing tracks contain all the information needed to select the appropriate QC preset, select gig-view, open the looper UI, start recording, close the looper UI, change preset etc, all without having to touch the foot switches yourself…
