Global input (or lock input) when changing presets - "Reamping" DI signal via USB

As a producer, I find it incredibly useful to record a DI signal into my DAW, and “reamp” it with the Quad Cortex later (looping the audio and auditioning presets to find the perfect sound).

To do that, the DI signal must be sent from the DAW to USB Output 5 to 8 (which will then be the Input on the Quad Cortex).

However, Inputs on Quad Cortex’s factory presets are all assigned to Analog Input 1. Whenever I audition a new preset, I must manually change the preset’s Input to USB 5.

Although manually changing the input “gets the job done”, a “global input” or “lock input” feature would be a HUGE time saver when reamping / scrolling through presets.

Since the Quad Cortex has a global Cab Bypass feature, a Global Input Lock should also be feasible, and it would be an incredible “quality of life” improvement.

Thank you for listening, Neural DSP

I was just preparing to ask the same question. You happen to be a voice for all of us. In order to surf around different presets and listen how it feels within the track this feature is a must. Otherwise, on every preset one must change the input manually which slows down the process of deciding the preset too much.

+1 for this. With my routing, changing presets to find a suitable sound is painfully slow.

I’m surprised there are only a few votes for this. Perhaps there is a duplicate post somewhere?
