Hi guys, I’m desperately trying to figure out why my RC-10R is extremely quiet, to the point where I have to reduce the amp block volume by 20+ db just to even it out.
This means adding an fx loop block to any preset or capture requires tweaking the amp block to match volumes and it’s really jarring when I download a new capture to try and the volume makes me jump out of my seat. I can reduce the FX send level but that doesn’t solve the huge volume difference when trying new captures/presets. Is there some way to globally increase gain to the FX loop block or something? Has anyone else noticed this issue?
that’s strange because the FX Loop defaults to Line Level, generally you have to turn it DOWN for Instrument Level/unamplified gear.
Sounds like the Boss unit may be sending too low of a signal.
either way, the only way to Globally alter the FX Loop block Send level would be to set it where it works for you and then save that level as default. (From the Device Edit menu; ‘save parameters as default’)
that way every time you add the FX Loop device it’ll already be set to that level.
That could work, It would still cause that volume differential when loading a new capture or using a preset without the fx loop block. It’s really confusing and im curious if this is a known issue. I’ve reached out on TGP about it to see what comes up. Thanks for chiming in.
