From a trustworthy and reliable source, a musician and retailer with widespread contacts throughout this topic and internationally working personally with pro musicians on effects and modellers, I have that the QC is by far the most sold unit in its class. Way WAY above the next best selling in line. And that was not including the QC Mini.
This says a lot. Only a few of all the users actively use this forum, for whatever reasons, maybe most are satisfied, or at least okay with its pros & cons? And the roster of artists with Plugins and sponsorships says the rest. The personal referenced special ”needs” complaints drown completely in this fact. Constructive criticism is sometimes valuable inputs and in its place but the sheer satisfied user numbers speaks for themselves. Also in here.
Keep up the amazing work Pancho and the rest of Neural![]()
Agreed. I like what he said regarding in terms of R&D, in that they’re pulling data from “the internet as well as market study.” This forum is but the tiniest sliver of their customer base, and satisfied customers oftentimes aren’t as noisy as the unsatisfied. It was Thomann’s top effects unit for a reason (hell, by a long shot: it stayed at the top spot for more than a year when they published their year-end listings of the most popular gear). But beyond that, the development phase really seems carefully curated to really address the broad swath of users instead of avoiding that developmental feedback loop he touched on. Hell, I’m loving the bloom reverb beyond reason from the most recent OS update.
I’m happy with Neural, and in particular, if there is a sound I don’t have, there’s someone in the community that likely has it or can point in the right direction. And I love the inclusion of Ghost Note Audio’s YouTube masterpiece ‘Please stop the madness…” at the 56:20 mark when they discuss input gain. That video and spreadsheet alone provided the biggest ‘a-ha!’ moment for me in understanding how to set input gain for my uses. Everyone who cares about having an in-depth understanding of this equipment should watch that video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ59h7xfvdI)
Quality share, @kNow2 !
Thanx @keith Saw that one a while back and have often thought my presets (which sounds fine with my setup) could sound like absolute sh
te in other’s (ears)? Some presets sounds like that on my setup, even though they look quite accomplished on the grid. The technical part is beyond my level of skill, so I just use them ears. Sometimes it seems like when people can’t get the sounds they want from the QC it’s not for them, ‘cause some complaints seems very invested, yet like they’ve reached a dead end?
What Francisco says here must clear out a lot of doubt in how they invests their resources for the best of us all.
