Footswitch Setting Request: Make it Impossible to Load Blank Presets via Footswitch

Hey NDSP team and forum members,

On a recent gig, I accidentally hit the “back” button on the preset switches instead of the “next” button and loaded a blank preset. I’m sure I’m not the only one to do that, but I had a realization: no one loads a blank preset on purpose unless they’re going to add things to it! ESPECIALLY not on a gig!

Is there a way to add a setting to make it impossible to load a blank preset with the footswitches? Maybe make it possible to access blank presets through the screen menu, but if you try to footswitch into a blank preset, the QC doesn’t let you so you don’t accidentally blow the gig with a clean DI sound! Or maybe if you have your QC in Gig Mode, you can’t footswitch into a blank preset by accident.

There is an existing feature request for the up/down functionality as many would like that feature.

I won’t speak to your first request, but here’s the existing request for reversing the up/down switches.

Edited my original post to exclude reversing the “up/down” switches (would still love it if NDSP added that feature) and left it at the title request.

A very long standing problem with a request for a “fix.” Because of the close footswitches it’s way too easy to ports the wrong footswitch when you’re singing and can’t stare at the pedal. It stopped me from using it live.

A workaround is an external MIDI pedal but that more money and shouldn’t be necessary b
