I hope that Neural surprises us by implementing this request in the next update. Currently, the Quad Cortex is the only major player where you can’t freely assign foot switches as you wish, and the Hybrid mode is too limiting.
Much needed!!! + 1
please neural, this is what we need!
Even the Ampero line of modelers do this already. The QC is the only major modeler that does not allow for customization of the switches.
Since we have CorOs 3.0.0 finally, I hope that the company would focus on real problems other than PCOM. There are plenty issues to be dealt with for the use of QC as a live performance tool compared to Fractal Audio, Kemper, Helix and Boss…
I hope that they see and evaluate the needs of users. Feature requests are cumulating… :))) And the problem is that those are not imaginations , on the contrary usual features on other brands.
I hope so, this is the one feature where QC is behind everyone else. however, really huge step forward with 3.0.0.
No news here… it’s a really needed feature.
Don’t know if this has to be posted in a different thread but I think it has to do with this one. I’m a “one preset” guy and coming from FAS ecosystem, it became essential to me using a CONTROL SWITCH. This is a controller that can be assigned to (control) different stuff even at the same time. In my case I assigned to an eq and delay making it my “solo boost” switch.
I know I can assign these two pedals to one switch but my problem is if I engage this and change scene, when I come back to previous scene it’s still engaged.
I know I can change this bypass behavior in the “Scene Bypass State Behaviour” from the Device Options menu BUT sometimes I need to engage a certain effect on a scene and the QC to remember when I come back to it.
Sorry for the mess, I’ll try to make it clearer:
Upper row: 3 fx and “solo switch”. Bottom row: 4 scenes. I’m on scene 1 (clean) and add a chorus, move to scene 3 (drive) for a different section of the song. Press the “solo” switch as it’s my very special moment , go back to scene 1 for a moment (I need the chorus engaged) and then move to scene 4 (I don’t need the boost) to the great ending of the song.
Hope this makes sense… to sum up, Control Switch please
Cheers!
Yes, this is the most important missing feature.
Absolutely agree!!! This is the single dealbreaker for me coming from Helix. If we had flexibility like Helix does with Command Center to assign footswitches free-form to be anything we want, I’d make the switch. Until then, not even remotely a chance.
On Helix, I can assign a single footswitch to toggle between a min and max value for any number of parameters on any number of blocks. For example, I can use a footswitch to toggle my reverb mix knob between 25% and 100%. Quad Cortex requires you to take up an entire scene for this same action and gives you less footswitches to boot.
This can be fixed with firmware updates. I’ll be watching closely until that day.
“Custom” Mode should be a thing and you should be able to map min-max parameters to an on-board footswitch—not only to an external expression pedal.
Yes, I don’t get why this has taken so long. Please, make sure to vote for this feature request!
