Enhancing the Capture Process (using PC GPU & capture tone file)

I have a few ideas to enhance the capture process, which involves the use of a PC.

NDSP should take notes from STL Tones and IK Multimedia.

Tonex can:
-capture & train your tone without the need for the hardware ToneX pedal in that process
-can train tones via GPU (enhancing the quality)

STL Tonehub:
-does the above AND
‐lets you record the tone via audio file to be processed at a later point
-Batch processing of tones

If NDSP can utilize Cortex Control for this, it would make the QC even more competitive to its software and hardware competitors.

There was a big discussion about this last year. A lot of votes came in:

Sorry to disagree…

I bought tonex, installed the max Version, tried some captures/ toneprints/ whatsoever…what can I say?
The tone prints didn’t come close to my original amp! None of them… not even near to be close…totally disappointing.

The QC really “captures” everything of my amp (hand soldered boutique amp): the sound and then more important the “feel” of my amp.
Be it clean, crunch or HG sounds. It’s awesome!

I say let it be the way it is.

Sorry

My only suggestion is QOL for the process, not changing the actual quality of the captures.

Right, It depends from the amp and the responsiveness of the manufacturer’s neural netw on the specific amp.

But other side, if i have to wait half out for a super capture…why not?

Eventually as a option

There are a lot of folks swearing the Tonex is more accurate and those Youtube videos seems to demonstrate the same, but in a year I have never succeeded with Tonex - especially the software, the sound quality is always worse. I think the damn thing is too nuanced.
