Does this mirror what your QC does on startup since CorOS3.0?

Can I just check if this is normal since updating to CorOS3.0?

On startup, my QC no longer immediately shows the loading screen. All the footswitches flash together 5 times (on / off) over the course of about 15 seconds.

The device then appears to turn off completely for a couple of seconds.

It then switches itself back on, and begins the “normal” start up process that I used to see immediately before I upgraded the OS.

That then takes nearly a minute to load, with the loading bar displayed.

This means since updating that the whole process takes about 70 seconds to go from turning on to being usable, which is a lot longer than it did before updating.

When I updated, I had problems, and was left with a device that would not switch on at all. It took a lot of on / off / leaving it overnight to get it working again and then I had to run the update a second time. Since then it’s displayed this behaviour.

Is anyone else seeing that? Or do your units just go straight to the loading screen now?

Thanks.

Your startup process (blinking lights, blank screen) is the same as mine. Pretty sure that is normal behavior. Also, the boot time is about 70 seconds now, give or take. Doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with your device.

Thanks. Never used to do that before the update (or take close to that long). Because of the issues I had during the update process I was concerned mine was doing something weird. 70 seconds to turn on though… after my power lead came out mid-song at a gig that 70 seconds seemed like about 70 years up on stage!! Appreciate the reply.

I feels ya! I’ve turned a quick string change into part of the show at this point, shit happens baby! I guess if the rest of the band are waiting on ya … you have to give a secret sign and the singer can do a small interpretive dance :person_gesturing_ok:

Haha - I am the singer! And you DEFINITELY don’t want to see me dance.
