I am considering buying QC, and would like to find out if I can customize the footswiches in the way I like.
I will appreciate your help answering those questions.
Can I toggle between 2 presets with one footswitch?
Can I set up a footswitch to load CLEAN preset on first press and get it to morph into overdriven lead preset with second press? ie. by adding gain, and mids or presence, and delay?
Can I program top row footswitches to select BANKS. and then use bottom row footswitches to select presets in that BANK?
Can I set the top row footswitches to use “long press” to select BANKS?
No, to all the above unfortunately. Footswitching versatility is presently the QC’s major weakness.
There are some workarounds, but would require midi controllers. Hybrid Mode lets you mix some functionalities but again it is somewhat lacking and does not allow for all possibilities like other modelers.
You’ll want to use Scene mode for the channel switching. There is always a gap when switching between presets, but Scenes let you toggle multiple blocks at once with one footswitch within a preset to avoid changing the full presets
