Continuing the discussion from Copy + Paste Nano Presets:
I tried this and could not get it to work first.
Then, I figured it out but it is not good UI I think.
The quote above is from a feature request. I could not reply to it so it forced me to open another topic. I am posting this since it may confuse many people.
So here is how to copy/paste a preset with existing UI.
You click … 3 dots on main page and choose save as for the selected preset first.
Then it takes to the page where all of the presets are without a hint of what to do.
There you have to click on an empty preset slot or on an existing preset. Then it asks you if you overwrite it. However, it still has the existing presets name on the saving option screen which is very misleading. Better UI would be to have some kind of message or a dialog to suggest choosing a slot for the “save as preset” with an already auto named preset name like “… preset copy” then you would realize you are copying and exiting preset with a new name.
I thought save as option just took me to all presets page and it was a bug.
There is no UI direction!
It would be a lot easier if you click+hold a preset and it would open a mini side menu with duplicate, rename, delete options. Choosing duplicate would automatically choose an empty preset slot auto-named with “Preset copy” and scroll to that location with one step confirmation. Choosing rename could just highlite the name making it obvious for text edit.
This would be modern good UI.
