I followed the QC Wiki’s page and captured my clean Plini amp at -12 db and crunch tones at -6 db. The captures sound pretty much identical as what is in my DAW though the volume difference between both captures is quite a fair bit.
I then tried doing a capture of the clean Plini at -6 db (which sounds fine) though there still a volume difference between that and the Cory Crunch tone. I have compensated the volume difference on this newer capture by adding +8 db to the volume control.
Checking with the group if this is normal and if it’s better for me to use the -12 or -6 db capture? I reckon I would probably have to add +14 db to the -12 db capture just to have almost the same volume as my crunch capture.
