I’m requesting Neural DSP open a web page with older versions of app and firmware. Example: Nano Cortex 2.1 is totally dependent of internet and 2.0 was not (and I just realized this some days before 2.1 update). This is a nightmare for uses it live. With 2.1 I can not trust to gig with it. 2.1 make NC only a bedroom practice for me. If I can downgrade to 2.0 it will be great until next update with this problem solved.
I would suggest reaching out to support@neuraldsp.com and see if they can help you out with that if it is at all possible.
They say that’s not possible now.
When you say dependent on the internet, do you mean it doesn’t work if you’re not connected to the internet?
Does it need to be hooked up to the phone all the time?
I’m planning to buy an NC, but I’ll reconsider if this is a requirement ![]()
Same with the gap between presets, that’s a deal breaker for me.
Yes. Unbelievable
. With a bad connection you can’t change parameters in NC. Sometimes there is something wrong (they say that’s because soccer games) and you have to use a vpn to connect to the servers. If I knew before…
NC does not require internet. The app to deeply customize the NC requires internet.
Yes. Just the app. It was not clear when I wrote the answer. But note that you want to make changes in some parameters, you only can do with the app.
I was looking for something to substitute the NC and saw that in Dimehead I can download the version that I want. And it uses NAM, maybe this will be a great option in future.
Well, for now, waiting for a solution on internet on app or chose a version of app and firmware in NC…
I see this is not a popular request. But if you are complaining the problem of upload captures to the cloud, the problem is solved downgrading to 2.0
The same if you (and me) are complaining about internet need to adjust parameters: just downgrade to 2.0
If you are complaining about 60ms interrupt in changing presets: just downgrade do 1.0
So we can use the NC until they provide a better solution. If you like the idea, please vote!
But internet was needed from the launch, wasn´t it?
FYI support has stated that downgrading firmware is not possible.
It’s not possible because they don’t want. Of course there is no hardware or software restriction for it.
Yes but you can launch at home and make the app always opened (android can do it). I’ve tested and it worked for days, until next upgrade ![]()
