Anyone else having Bluetooth connection dropping with iPhone since update 1.1.1?
I have this issue with bluetooth conection on any android and iPad 6. gen too, need support too
Getting the same issue. Drops suddenly. Needs to restart to make bluetooth work
Thanks
Tried many options on my Android phone. For now, only restart solves problem.
I am also facing this same bluetooth connection dropping issue with iOS 18.7.2 and NanOS 2.2.1. Does anyone know of a solution to this?
Tried many things, iPads, other phones. I canât have this while performing so the only solution for me was to sell it. Even though the sounds are very good I just canât live with the fact the connection might break anytime, even live. Maybe a midi pedal could solve this as a workaround but for me the Bluetooth route was a dead end.
You might try updating your iPhone as its several updates behind. Also, ensure you have the latest version of the app.
There are iPhones which are still using iOS 18.x because they canât update beyond 18.x. (XS, XR)
I figured, just wanted to make sure etc. Ensure you have the latest app installed and worst case email support@neuraldsp.com
Thank you for the tips. I will update iOS to latest version (I already have latest app version) and will contact Neural DSP support if facing problems still after iOS update.
Thanks and please leave an update if you resolve etc.
Thereâs definitely a bug since the update. I get dropped from BT and then cannot reconnect.
Have to power reset the pedal as well as the app to get them to pair again in the app. Usually after reinstating pairing on the pedal, the pedal thinks the connection is started (blue ring âby searchingâ circle goes away) but the app never finishes the connection and eventually times out. Restarting just the app or just the pedal doesnât seem to fix it. They both get reset and then it works again until the next drop.
It makes the thing unusable if you at all need the app open for changes not available on the interface - this isnât just in a gig - itâs a huge time suck at home to dial in a simple preset or setting up your midi controller.
Iâm running latest firmware and iOS app and my phone is an iPhone 16 pro fully up to date.
That would be frustrating. I canât duplicate the issue using iPhone or iPad Pro (all running latest IOS/IpadOS etc.) and current app and not seeing any other related posts elsewhere. Have you tried forgetting the BT pairing and then restart the process?
There was a somewhat similar post on FB but it was resolved due to something unrelated. I would definitely email support so they can log the issue in case there is some bug not identified yet.
I was programming my chocolate plus midi over BT at the same time the issue occurred and I was swapping between apps.
I wasnât terribly surprised the NC dropped the connection but I was that I had to keep restarting everything to re establish it.
I emailed them. Pretty sure that was an AI generated troubleshooting reply.
Disappointing.
the issue happen again.
This time I only had the iOS app connected to the pedal and eventually the connection dropped never to be fixed until I cycled the nano cortex.
I was not using the phone. The screen was active the whole time, I was just monitoring the app. No midi going on.
I tried every form of reset on iOS and it didnât fix it until I cycled the nano cortex.
Please fix NDSP!
Itâs been a while since visiting here in the forum last time but just want to inform you that I am also still facing BT connection drops randomly even after all software updates. I have noticed that when keeping the Cortex Cloud app open for some time without making any actions on it then there is a high risk that connection drops. Sometimes I am able to reconnect just by activating the connection again but in most of the cases I need to restart the NC.
Unfortunately Iâm having the same issue after the latest update. 9 out of 10 times I canât connect to the pedal at startup. The pedal does not react to the save + exit button combination and acts as if my phone is connected. Meanwhile the app keeps trying to connect. Resetting the power on the NC sometimes helps, but not always.
When it works and the pedal connects to my phone, the connection breaks after about 2 to 5 minutes and I have to power cycle the pedal again. This happens repeatedly. Sometimes it completely freezes and does not react to any buttons at all. Multiple resets of the pedal and reinstallation of the app did not work.
Unfortunately this makes the pedal unusable for me, even at home. It makes the experience very frustrating.
I bought a Tonex as a âquick fixâ for live situations and starting to like it a lot more than the NC. No connectivity issues and no wonky app, more reliability for live use and way more relaxing to use at home.
Probably gonna sell the NC soon. Which is a shame, because if it wasnât so problematic I would switch back in a heartbeat.
Quick update:
I donât know if itâs a coincidence, but the Bluetooth drops and freezing seem to occur less frequently when Iâm using the NC with a dedicated 9V power adapter. It still freezes occasionally or wonât connect with my phone, but it seems to be less consistent.
Previously, I was powering it via a Cioks DC7 along with the other pedals on my board.
Curious of any progress on this one. Seems to be a persistent issue for a number of users.
Thanks.
