So I am mainly a headphone user when it comes to the QC, and for years I’ve liked to use AutoEQ compensation profiles to get me to the Harman Target for consistent listening across headphones and devices. Most compensation EQ profiles use around 12 bands and the global EQ in the QC is for some reason limited to a mere 5 bands, so my workaround has been setting the 3 band and 8 band EQs to the default that I need and I tack those on to the end of every preset I use which takes up a lot of device space and setup time. I think having an option to expand Global EQ from 5 bands is a reasonable request given that compensation profiles are not a particularly niche application. The other reason that it doesn’t work is because the global EQ cannot be applied to the headphone output at all, which feels like a very odd limitation to me. Adding that ability feels like a logical addition to me as well.
