Best Headphones for Quad Cortex Mini

Hello, I’m a month away from receiving my Quad Cortex Mini and I wanted to know which would be the best headphones, or which ones you use, to get an idea of how to play directly from the Quad Cortex without going through any sound card.

Thank you and best regards.

Hello and welcome. Plenty of discussions in the forum about headphones already. Search feature is a good place to start. Here’s an older thread:

Hello! Thank you for replying. My intention was to update the topic today to see if the preferences of the colleagues had changed. After reading a few threads, it seems that the ones that colleagues use the most are the Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO X headphones. If anyone has any other preference, they will be welcome.

Greetings and thank you.

Beyerdynamic is always a good choice.

I really love all the focal headphones. They are easily driven and very dynamic. The azyris, hedynis or the OG Clear are all standout headphone for me

If you’re looking for closed-back Audio Technica ATH-M50Xs are a little hyped on top but a dependable choice. Neumann NDH20s sound beautiful and articulate but are a little lumpy in the mids. They’re also heavy and a lot more money.

I have several Buyerdynamic’s and they are all nice however I’ve recently started using Shure 1540’s and they are really sweet imo, these are great for how your patches will be live if your using frfr setup.

Hey!

I’ve been using the Audeze LCD-S20’s! Pretty happy with those.

I personally love my JBL’s. They either made a good product or I got the pick of the litter.

Audeze are great. I am using the MM-100’s myself.
