Since I bought the license to this plugin, I haven’t been able to use the settings at all. The tuner function works, but the Settings button on the bottom left is inoperable. Can you suggest a way to access this
important function? It was working on the trial version.
I see the button but it doesn’t respond. I am running Windows 10 64-bit. I also notice that there is no sizing available for the window. Whereas it use to offer a small/large option, it is not fixed to a specific size (this is fine, but mention it in case it serves as a clue).
What you say about the software makes sense, so I agree the licensing is likely not the issue.
Are you using High-DPI scaling? If that’s the case, try disabling it and check if the issue persists.
You could also try deleting the .settings file (Keep a backup of it) and then launch the application again. It should be located at: C:\Users\Your user profile\AppData\Roaming\Archetype Cory Wong
I tried both approaches, but the problem persists. It’s quite limiting as I need to reduce the sampling rate to get a decent sound on my underpowered machine, and I can’t do this without accessing the settings. Am I the only one experiencing this?
FWIW, I tried to reproduce op’s issue to no avail. That said, I’m running it under an account with admin privileges, so maybe try setting the .exe to run as administrator and see if that changes anything? Depending on how/where it is installed, it might be a privileges issue…
Unfortunately the problem is back. I’ve tried every setting, running as admin and nothing works. I had a breakthrough with the settings working yesterday, but after a reboot it reverted to the same issue. I downloaded a trial for another plugin to test that, and have the same issue there.
I am quite frustrated and would prefer to have a refund at his stage.
Shortly after writing this, I discovered the problem. When using the software in tablet mode, the settings button does not respond on the screen touch. It does work with the mouse pointer. That’s fine from my perspective as the various switches and dials do work in touch mode.
