Cortex Control Troubleshooting

I’m seeing a LOT of reports of issues with Cortex Control, so I’ve compiled as much of the pertinent info from this forum on this thread. Please add any observations or solutions you have found. In some cases, users have reported Support says their issues are due to hardware failure and their units had to be sent in for repair/replacement. Never had a crash on the desktop and Android app version. Running an heavy duty but older laptop with Windows 11. Cortex Control is the only application running on it (my main computer runs Linux).
