I don’t own a midi switch pedal and have been desperately searching for alternative only to be disappointed. Could anyone please help me here. Much appreciated.
For instance,
I want the preset to change into say heavy from clean after certain time.
Thanks in Advance
Use two tracks for guitar plugins. One channel is audio and records the dry guitar input only. No effects, and set the output to a bus instead of stereo output. Leave the fader a 0dB unity gain. The second channel is a software instrument track where the plugin is a MIDI Controlled Effect in the instrument slot. Sidechain the input of the plugin from the bus used for the dry guitar channel. This channel records MIDI messages, i.e., footswitch presses. Then you map the MIDI controller for that software instrument channel to the plugin’s parameters directly instead how having to use global controller assignments and automation parameters.

First of all thankyou very much.
But one thing I noticed the dry sound from the instrument is also heard on the background, is there any way we can mute that one without muting the processed sound, i.e the instrument track. Also, Im still trying to enable the automation, will follow up here in case of help.
Set the dry track to no output or the bus output. Logic may create an aux track for the bus when you add the send, and that aux bus’s output will be the stereo output. Delete or mute that aux bus. You don’t need it.

Thankyou very much Sir. I was able to automate the preset change by sending PC note through automation. But I got another probolem, the sound tend to go out for a while and comeback, may be its because of the preset change, but the transition is not smooth.
