It would be incredibly useful if in stomp/scene hybrid mode you could have stomp assignments change between scenes. For example when I change from Scene A to Scene B I would like to be able to have access to different stomps for scene B than I had in Scene A.
In my particular use case I have a “Lead” scene that already has a lot of gain so I don’t need an overdrive stomp in this scene, but I do want access to a flanger… I also have a “Crunch” scene where I would like to have an overdrive available and I don’t need a flanger. It would be cool if I could set it up so when I switch from my “Lead” scene to the “Crunch” scene, stomp A gets reassigned from the flanger to the overdrive.
Can you not do this by just parameter locking the pedals to different values for each scene?
You’ll have to use the same few pedals, but it’s easy to get a lot more sounds this way.
Not really, the point is I want entirely different pedals to be available as stomps in the new scene. I don’t need a flanger on my crunch tone at all, so that footswitch is currently being wasted holding a flanger. There are no settings on the flanger that I need for that scene. I’d like to have it remapped to something else that I can actually use with my crunch tone.
Sort of… but this wouldn’t require loading a whole new preset. (When loading a preset there is a short gap in the audio when it loads all the new blocks which is not ideal in the middle of performing a song). This would give you more flexibility with scenes and the blocks you already have in a single preset without requiring you to switch presets.
But yes I could get this behavior if I used hybrid preset/stomp mode but then I lose the benefits of using scenes.
Hello. Is there any updates regarding this request? Scene mode is our only alternative to switch sounds without any gap. But it’s not as useful as preset switching when stomps stay the same…
