True. I guess my question was if the input gain on the input gate does the same thing as the main input gain or if it differs somehow.
it appears to be the same function as what’s in the main Input settings, so I guess it’s essentially having that degree of control at the Lane/Row Level now. That’s even better than per preset.
Actually, the Input Gain at the input gate is just the equivalent of putting a Gain block first in chain and since that will only affect the wet signal, it’s sadly not the same as changing the Input Level in I/O Settings.
Try recording only the DI signal and you’ll see that the level is not affected at all by changing the Input Gain parameter…
Bumping this thread. Would be an excellent quality of life and user exp upgrade to have this. Pickups make a huge difference going into the QC and it would be nice to have your presets be able to align with guitar selection instead of fixed to global. I’m a home player, but I can imagine this is something touring players would like to have too, considering how much everything is on the grid and locked in.
