Additional midi controls (instead of replacement controls)

I just purchased a Darkglass midi footswitch. My goal is to extend the available footswitches from 8 on the QC + 5 from my midi footswitch. However, it seems that I can only control footswitches that are already available on the QC.

On the Cortex Manual 3.3.0 there are only 8 commands for footswitches (CC#35-42). I think it would be great if this could be extended to i.e. 13 footswitches (CC#35-47). Also I’ve tried to work around this by sending scene signals from midi whilst the QC was in stomp mode. This also doesn’t seem to work. Key problem (I think) is that midi controls only seem to work as a replacements instead of additions*.*

I think this feature would benefit a lot of people and extend the usability and capability of the QC even more. Would you guys agree or do you have other workarounds to use midi and the QC even more efficiently?

That said, others in the forum may have some workarounds for additional MIDI with external switches.
