It would be nice to be able to add any input and/or output to the grid via the Fx Loop block, similar to how it currently works with just the fx send and returns
pretty sure that would get really weird because the ins and outs are already on the grid - they would have to be mutually exclusive / unselectable respectively
Yes. That’s how it works currently with the sends and returns, which can also be on the grid
Hello,
I had a different idea, but agreed with the outputs to be present to route from anywhere.
As long as I know, maybe the outputs are “physically” connected to the extremes of our grid, so we can only select the physical outputs from there.
What I had in mind was to use a node, that you configure in a different menu. Let’s say, you have some pedals, an amp and FX post amps. You want to send all of these to FOH via outs 1&2, but route pre amplifier to outputs 3&4. So, you access a menu (on top of the screen for example, left side of the options at the right), then you select a node to send to output 3 and say that it is going to happen between pedals and amp.
With this you do not need a block to route, (FX loops blocks does not consume DSP as you can check on CPU monitor), saving one space for arrangement configuration or any other block you need to use
