I have an expression pedal set as a volume. Would be nice if there was a way to access the tuner when the pedal is fully backward and the volume is off.

This is a standard feature of Fractal and BOSS GT-1000 units. It needs to be standard on the QC too. Should be super easy to do.

This would be a really cool idea! When the Volume/Expression pedal is all the way off (volume at 0). The tuner turns on and when you roll the volume pedal back up the tuner turns off immediately. I personally do not like how long the tuner takes to turn on. I really wish there was a way for those settings to be reversed. I don’t use the Tap function, so I really wish it could be changed to Tap for the Tuner.
Agree, during practice accessing the tuner function is fine, during a show it seems to take forever.
Need a way to instantly access the tuner.
This function perfectly describes what my Ernie Ball VP Jr. does on my pedalboard.
I used a separate TC Electronic PolyTune for years, prior which is a great tuner, but this is so much more convenient.
I can’t believe I bumped this post over 2 years ago and we’re still waiting for this feature…screw the plugin compatibility stuff, do some QOL updates to the QC!!

I have it working but you will need something like the Widi Master to make it working. You have to configure the Widi Master (software on you tablet) and set Wired Midi Thru to On. I would think that just patching In and Out will also work but then you’re sacrificing your Midi ports. I think they also have a Midi hub in their product line that would make this possible so you would have the best of three worlds. Keep you midi port, have bluetooth and midi loopback.
In the Global Setting of the QC got Midi Setting and check that Midi Thru is Off. Remember the MIDI Channel you’ve selected here.
Next you can go to Preset midi out, select you Expression pedal and set it to these values:
Channel 1, CC# 45, Min Value 64, Max Value 0. And voila.
Next step for Neural DSP would be to make a global setting for this, because you have repeat this for each preset. Still, I’m very happy with this.
I assume you can also do this with the Midi Jumper hack? Will test later.
yep, all you need to configure this is 1 midi cable (if you’re not already using the midi in/out)
Works great with the midi-jumper hack using Paul’s settings above. XP in heel position calls up the tuner, closes it when you move the pedal.
