AC30 Presets

Hi

My favourite presets in my previous modellers has been the AC30.

These have been Line 6 and the best one was an old Vox Tonelab.

Is there anyone that has created AC30 tones that i can download ?

To me the Vox models on the Quad Cortex are too distorted and nothing like the Voc AC30 that I used to own in the 70s.

Itā€™s common with amps that are traditionally used for clean or EOB tones to seem a bit ā€œhotā€ in the QC Factory models. Many users report having to lower the input gains substantially to dial in the expected behavior.

Have you tried the Matchless Factory amps? Or captures of Vox ACs?

Or this preset, using captures we made in our studio of a boutique Vox clone. Made a believer out of our tube-purist guitarist/engineer:

Iā€™ve never used the phone appā€™ as iā€™m at home and use the pc.

Do you use the phone instaed of a PC ? for when youā€™re travelling

Take my advice and try the Dr. Z-Xray captures mentioned here: Dr. Z X-Ray captures with the suggested IR

NOLATONE CL30 Chimey Limey w/ 2x12 Vox cabinet, using AT 4050 and Royer 121 mics.

Itā€™s a boutique, hand-wired Vox AC30 clone.

Can confirm, those Dr. Z captures are lovely. Specifically, the ā€˜Dr. Z X Ray II cleaner fullerā€™ sees good use on my end. @telejas captured some lightning in a bottle with that one!

Which guitar are you using ? And which IR ?

Zila 212 for the cab IR. Guitar is an Aristides 060R with Seymour Duncan Nazgul bridge/Alpha neck. Will be returning the original Sentient back into the neck position soon though.

I canā€™t see impulse response anywhere. I can only see presets and captures

Sounds great using the cab and a guitar with humbuckers.
