12 string emulation

Having come over from Line 6 products to the QC, I miss their 12 string emulation. While none are perfect, theirs was pretty usable. I’d love to see a s8milar emulation added to the QC.

Have you tried the QC Factory Preset that tries to accomplish this? I think it is 31G, according to the list here. It is not great, of course, but maybe it is a start… Please let us know how it compares to the one on the Line 6. Thanks!

Hi, there is already an existing request from a while back, but it only gained a couple of votes. Perhaps @MP_Mod can combine these threads.

I was playing around with the Plini X plug-in recently and discovered that I love the Plini Octaver. I think it’s a bit more subtle than most of the other pitch shifting blocks. Turn the Direct Level knob all the way up, the Down knob all the way down, and dial the Up knob to taste (about 10:00 to 2:00). Add a light amount of chorus or detune after that and the result can at least get you in the ballpark of a 12-string emulation.

*For other folks reading this, I am not interested in the So I have to buy a plug-in to do this? discussion (you do not have to), nor the arguments over pitch-shifting artifacts.

@felher.c Thanks for that pointer - I will check it out.

@DiffractionCircuit Thanks. I am rather new to the QC, and haven’t tackled plug-ins yet. But I’ll keep this idea on hand for when I am ready.
