1 Expression for Wah & Whammy

I ended up making a hybrid. With the scenes I change the Split Volume and thus choose between Whammy and WahWah.

Could you explain a bit about how your patch works? If you could upload the preset that would be rad. Using Wah and Whammy with one expression pedal is essential for me and I still haven’t managed to make it work.

Download my preset … you there can understand better.

I made a template configuring all the possible XP assignment types; toe-switch, scene assigned, and auto-engage. You can copy the blocks for the type you want and the settings should transfer with them.

Thank you for sharing your preset. That does the trick!

I have a Lehle expression pedal and I also have a trs a/b box. I connected the expression into the input of the a/b box and out a to expression 1 input and out b to expression 2. When I hit the switch I can calibrate both expression inputs. The problem occurs that when I switch from a to b the parameter on the off expression moves slowly to 50%. I am trying to control volume and mix parameters on delay. Is there a work around? Thanks

Interesting setup. Sounds like the parameter you shift away from controlling “drifts” back to 50%. Not sure I have an answer for why it is behaving this way. Might be worth an email to NDSP support.

Are you using only TRS cables for the connections to the TRS A/B box and to the QC?

Yes only TRS cables to and from the a/b box. Thanks for the suggestion I will email support.

It occurred to me that when you are switching away from controlling one parameter it may be returning to that parameter’s value that you saved in that preset/scene. As it would behave if you didn’t have an expression pedal connected (which is basically the case when you switch away from that pedal input).

If you save your parameter at say 20%, and then switch the expression pedal away from it, does it return to that value (20%)? Or does it always go to 50%?

Might also worth checking the Lehle manual to see if there are any DIP switches or other internal adjustments that could be made on the expression pedal to assist in calibration.
