XML files - what to do with it?

Hello,

this is probably a very basic question, but I couldn’t find a proper answer, not even on chatgpt… :frowning:

I found a preset that I would like to try, but the user provided a xml file. I downloaded it, but I cannot open it on any text editor (it’s a binary file, apparently).

What can I do with this?

Is there a specific editor to handle this kind of files or can I upload it somehow via cortex control?

You have to know for which Plugin the XML preset is made for, after that you can import it using a button near the preset dropdown (the exact button icon change from plugin to plugin) , here’s an old video from Neural DSP showing that : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtDSsykxjiY
