Export preset settings to a human-readable file

I would like to export a Quad Cortex preset to a file in human-readable format. This way I could document the settings, that I use for a certain song solo, etc.

This would also help, if I make changes to a preset, to tell me how to get back.

Hmm, when you consider how much information would have to be stored there if you have a preset with maximum complexity, I don’t think that’s really feasible in reality. I would guess that the data is stored in the system as XML (though I don’t know for sure). It might make sense to grant access to the XML files. Then you could extract the desired information using AI.

Complexity of data is irrelevant these days. Just throw it at any AI to make output format as detailed as you like in seconds. I would also love to see unencrypted exports so for instance I could create a tool to transfer preset/scenes to my morningstar midi controler easily. What’s the point of encrypting this data?

It’s probably more compression than encryption. Since there’s no way to access it (at least I don’t know of any way), it’s hard to say for sure. It could just as easily be that it’s completely unencrypted and uncompressed in the QC.

I tried and I am quite sure it’s encryption.
